Commit yourself to set apart some of your day to meditate on the things of God. These are books that can change your life. Of course, in this visual age I am being unfashionable by offering a recommended reading list. But so be it. After all, ours is a religion of The Book and so it is important that we read the Scriptures and books that are saturated with the Scriptures. It is important to read works by others who mediate on the word of God day and night (and even some that are in touch with our culture and with people dealing with the same struggles we all face). You may not have a love for reading, but just as you are too busy not to pray, you are too busy not to read. |
